OUR STORY

For nearly 20 years, Easy Bee Farms has been growing fresh, nutrient-dense food and offering CSA shares to the Moab community. We're more than just a farm—we’re dedicated land stewards, working to nourish both the soil and the people who call this place home.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We've partnered with the NRCS to create a conservation plan that supports native pollinators through habitat plantings and hedgerows. Our three-acre farm, along with an additional half-acre nearby, thrives under organic practices like cover cropping, crop rotation, companion planting, and mulching. We conserve water through drip irrigation and enrich our soil with homemade compost, created from plant matter, food waste, and a little help from our chickens.

Pollinators play a vital role in our ecosystem, so we cultivate a diverse range of flowers, herbs, and perennials to keep them buzzing. At Easy Bee, we’re a passionate team of farmers committed to growing the best local food possible—because healthy soil means healthy food, and healthy food means a thriving community.

I started my first garden in the Moab Valley in 1992.  I realized back then how much joy I received from nourishing myself and my friends with the finest food in the land.  I have always gravitated towards my relationship with plants in my work life. It feeds my soul.

Easy Bee is a place to express my love for the plant kingdom and share that love with my fellow humans.  My favorite part of the job is growing, harvesting, and arranging flowers for the CSA members and the community.  I also enjoy working with the enthusiastic Easy Bee Team and our glorious CCO (Chief Compost Office

I joined the Easy Bee Farm Team in 2024 and am excited for another year of growing and pushing myself alongside my field crew team members. I started farming in Washington state but have had my hands in the dirt since I was a kid in school gardens. For me, small-scale farming is the intersection of stewarding the land and engineering our environment that can build the community-level resilience we so desperately need.

I am looking forward to the rewards of patience in the field and seeing the turn of the seasons up close and personal. When I’m not on the farm, you can find me hanging out the crag or cooking up new recipes in the kitchen!

I first joined EasyBee as a worker-share in 2021. What started as occasional volunteer days quickly turned into a few days a week, and by fall of 2023, I stepped into the role of Kitchen Manager. I've loved watching the farmstand grow, meeting new customers, and sharing exciting recipes and unique produce. The best part is connecting with our regulars each week and building a community around food. When I'm not at the farmstand, you’ll likely find me out on the trail or by the river’s edge, enjoying snacks with my pup!

I am originally from Slovakia and moved to Moab in 2020. I believe in the philosophy You are what you eat! I fell in love with our farm from first time I visited as a customer.I took a chance and became an employee!

I have worked just about every position that EasyBee offers and now I am the lead baker and best friend of our sourdough starter! I love the feeling of being able to bring a good food to our Moab community as well as teaching yoga and meditation classes.

I'm elated and heart-fully grateful to be a new member of Easy Bee Farm Team ( our mission statement makes my heart sing!) I'll be out in the field this year, connecting to our soil, our sun, our beautiful crops and our hard-working team.

When not on my knees, pulling weeds, you can find me spending quality time with my dear family - my daughter, my dogs and the love of my life. I love creating and painting, rhyming and good timing.... deep breathing ....and especially ---healing through feeding our town good food!

I'm keen on supporting and growing local and resilient food systems, I believe in fostering healthy relationship with the land and community. I grew up on backyard and community gardens, and is excited to join Easy Bee Farm this season as a farmhand. When I'm not growing food, you will probably find me whitewater rafting, out for a long hike, or dancing in the desert!

I joined the Easy Bee Farm Team in 2025 as the Wash Pack Lead. I love growing food because I love the process of working the soil with like minded people, cultivating and caring for this land, and feeding my community. I love the magic of fresh veggies bringing people together and connecting us to each other and this place. When not on the farm, you can probably find me wandering the canyons or sculpting clay.
